| In difference to many other communities,
life in Santa Lucija is still dominated by a sense of
belonging to the village and what it represents. This
is evident in the high particpation of many people in
the social activities held in Santa Lucija. |
| In view of its very small size, social activities
are predominantly focused around a central place, namely
the Centru Santa Lucija. This may be beyond understanding
for those readers living in large cities counting high
thousands or millions of people, but one of the unique
beauties of this village is its population size (below
400 people for a relatively large area) and the communal
sense of belonging. |
| Notwithstanding, there is obviously a small
% of population which is just resident and not actively
participating in the social activities. This is normally
formed of foreigners who took up residence here, and also
short-term visitors, staying in one of the beautiful farmhouses
for rent. |
