Santa Lucija was awarded this prestigious EU award in 2008. Representatives from the Fundazzjoni Folklorisitika Ta' Klula, together with the Kercem Local Council Mayor attended the award-giving ceremony in Bordeaux, France on 17-19 September 2008.
