| What was for many decades the village bakery,
today hosts the village’s “Centru” or
communal centre. This large imposing house in the village
square belonged to Marinton Gatt and its ancestors, which
beside being their home was also a bakery and its stores.
In her will, Marinton Gatt left her house to the church
of Santa Lucija which was transformed in the late 1980’s
in the present village centre. |

| The Centru is the place where locals meet
for different purposes in different times. In the mornings,
religious gatherings take place aimed at different ages
and groups. |
| In the evenings, the Centru is
a mecca of activity with locals meet at the bar for a
pint of beer or prepare for any forthcoming activity.
Regularly, social activities, including drama and music
activities and dinners are held in the main hall situated
in the first floor. |
